The mission of the Claremont Institute’s Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence is to restore the constitutional design envisioned by our nation’s founders. Increasingly, our work at the Center—and particularly by the Center’s Director, Dr. John Eastman—is coming under attack precisely because we are effective at fighting back against an increasingly despotic “command-and-control” government and their oligarchic allies in the media. We have set up litigation funds to counter these pernicious trends in our politics—one devoted to pushing back against cancel culture, and the other seeking to challenge one state’s attempt to water down the constitutional protection of freedom of association to ensure that political parties cannot nominate candidates who share their views.
